Electrical Designer / ECAD Designer (m/f/d)
Department: Electrical Design / Engineering
Core Tools: Eplan Electric P8, Sistema
Location: Gevelsberg, North Rhine-Westphalia
Employment: Full-time, permanent
Start Date: Immediate or by arrangement
Your responsibilities:
- Creating and maintaining electrical circuit diagrams and schematics with Eplan Electric P8 – from the initial
sketch to the finished system - Conceptualization and design of control cabinet layouts for modern packaging and automation systems
- Creation of bills of materials, terminal diagrams, cable plans, and complete electrotechnical documentation
Creation and maintenance of safety verifications and risk assessments with Sistema (IFA SISTEMA software)
in accordance with EN ISO 13849 - Standardization and continuous development of ECAD design methodology and Eplan libraries
Close cooperation with mechanical design, the software team, and production in interdisciplinary
project teams - Technical coordination with suppliers and purchasing regarding component selection
- Support during commissioning and systematic error analysis of electrical systems
How you will enhance the team:
- Completed technical training or degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a comparable field (e.g., technician, Bachelor of Electrical Engineering)
- Sound knowledge of Eplan Electric P8 – ideally also Eplan Fluid
- Experience with Sistema for creating safety validation documentation in accordance with EN ISO 13849
- Proficiency in electrotechnical standards (DIN VDE, EN Machinery Directive)
- Experience in the design of switchgear and control cabinets for special-purpose machinery
- Knowledge of PLC control systems (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000) is an advantage
- Good written and spoken German; English skills are an advantage
- A structured, independent way of working as well as strong teamwork skills
